What will happen to my personal details/bank details?

The Chic Story will keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide us your name, e-mail address, credit card information, address, phone number and a password. This information is used to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to make your shopping experience great.
We fully co-operate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we reasonably believe to be unlawful.

We will not share your information with any other organisations other than related companies and those third parties directly related to the delivery of the products you have purchased from THE CHIC STORY website.

 

Payments

What Payment options are available?

All prices shown are in Australian Dollars (AUD). We accept Visa, MasterCard, Bank transfer and PayPal payments.
To pay for your order over the phone with your card, please call us on +61 449 845 209 from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Upon placing your order over the phone, please ensure you have these details ready:

  • Full name
  • Postal address
  • Credit card number, expiry date and 3 digit security number
  • Style number, colour and size

The Chic Story is not liable for an incorrect delivery address being given at the time of purchase. Please provide complete and accurate details to ensure your parcel arrives safely and on time.

 

PayPal payments

All items will be posted to the address as shown on customer’s PayPal account. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their address shown on their PayPal account is current and correct. The Chic Story takes no responsibility if address details on customer’s PayPal account are incorrect.

 

Returns and Exchanges

What is your Returns and Exchange Policy?

It is really important to us that you make the right decision prior to purchasing. For any assistance please contact us on info@thechicstory.com. If you are not satisfied with your purchase or if it doesn’t fit, we offer exchanges or refund.
NO returns for jewellery, accessories or sale items.

Conditions of Exchanges and Returns:

  • Returns within Australia – Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt by customer;
  • Returns outside Australia – Items must be returned within 21 days of receipt by customer;
  • Items must be returned in their original clean condition with tags and must be unworn, unwashed and unperfumed;
  • NO returns on jewellery, accessories or sale items;
  • Customer is responsible for the item to be sent back to us and the cost of shipping the any exchanged/new item out to the customer;
  • Customer must return the item with a note to ensure refunds
  • Prior to returning any item, customers are required to contact us at info@thechicstory.com
  • We reserve the right to reject any items not returned in their original state or returned after the above specified number of days of customer’s receipt. These will be sent back to the customer.

Shipping is non-refundable except where an error is made by us.

 

How about Cancelling orders?

If you place an order for the wrong item, you may cancel the order by contacting us at info@thechicstory.com within 1 hour of placing the order.

 

How about Faulty Items?

Each item goes through quality check before being dispatched. If the item is faulty, please notify us as soon as possible by contacting us at info@thechicstory.com.

Ordering and Pre-Sales

Orders are processed Monday through Friday (excluding public holidays) and are shipped within 48 hours of placement.

 

How do Pre-sales Work?

We try to ensure that the delivery dates on pre-sale items arrive on time. Please note that delivery times on pre-sale items cannot be guaranteed and The Chic Story takes no responsibility in the event that pre-sale items are delayed.

Please note that multiple item orders (including pre-sale item(s)) will only be dispatched once all items are available.

The Chic Story ships worldwide using Australia Post.

All ORDERS UNDER $50- REGULAR Shipping Within Australia!

Same Day Service: We offer same day delivery for urgent orders within Sydney CBD and some areas around Sydney. Please contact info@thechicstory.com for more information.

Express (1-2working days with tracking)

Please allow 1 – 2 business day delivery time once the order has been dispatched.

We use Australia Post express post and regular post with tracking. You will receive an email from  with your tracking number (check your spam folder), which you can use to track your order by clicking the following link http://auspost.com.au/track/

International Orders?

International orders are charged a flat rate of A$20 shipping fee. All international orders over A$150 are shipped complimentary on us.
The Chic Story will not be responsible for any delays in delivery which are beyond our control. This may include delays made by Australia Post, unforeseen weather conditions or peak season.

We use Australia Post International Airmail for all international orders.

Standard shipping: 7 – 12 business days. We will not be responsible for any delays in delivery which are beyond our control. This may include delays made by unforeseen weather conditions, a country’s local taxes, duties or customs procedures or peak season.
Express courier shipping (3 – 5 business days) may be requested by contacting us at info@thechicstory.com after your order has been placed. Extra charges may apply depending on weight and location.

These estimated delivery dates will depend on your location. Delivery may take longer if you live outside of the metropolitan area of major cities and during peak seasons such as Christmas and New Year.

Combined Shipping: We offer combined shipping – each additional item will be approx 70% off shipping cost. Promotion Codes:

Terms and Conditions

We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages or packages delayed in transit.

Please note that customs fees and any taxes associated with your purchase are the responsibility of the customer.

Customers must provide complete and accurate details when making purchases. THE CHIC STORY is not liable for an incorrect delivery address being given at the time of purchase. If an order is returned to THE CHIC STORY due to an incorrect delivery address having been given by a customer, the cost associated with correcting and re-shipping the order is the responsibility of the customer.

Promotion & Coupons

Our Coupon Policy

The Chic Story from time to time will issue promotional coupon codes we sell on our website. This is done via our internal email list by distributing to our independent affiliate network.  These independent affiliates will promote the coupon codes on their website’s, social networking sites, email marketing, search engine marketing and various other means. When we provide discount coupon codes to our independent affiliate network we do so with explicit instructions on how the coupon codes may be promoted along with the coupon code’s restrictions and offer details. Failure of the affiliate to disclose these restrictions and coupon details is outside of our control. If there are any reported problem with an affiliate issued coupon code we promptly correct the mistake. THE CHIC STORY cannot be held responsible for mistakes or errors made by our independent affiliates in the promotion of our coupon codes.

The coupon codes we issue and authorize are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • Unless otherwise noted on the coupon, all coupon codes are issued with a minimum spend requirement. This minimum spend requirement is detailed with the coupon code.
  • All coupon codes include an expiration date. We do not issue open ended coupon codes except to our discretion under certain circumstances.
  • The coupon code must be entered by the customer at the time of checkout on the payment page. Failure to do so does not entitle the customer to a refund of the coupon discount amount after the sale. We cannot retro-actively apply coupon discounts for orders already placed.
  • All coupon codes we issue are non-negotiable.
  • Unless specifically noted on the coupon, coupons are valid for one use per customer.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reject any order if in our opinion the coupon used was unauthorized, ineligible, obtained illegally or altered in any way.
  • Discount coupons may not be used on orders which have already been discounted.
  • The coupon codes we issue may only be used for THE CHIC STORY website.
